Plugin Description

If you sell products that are eligible for VAT exemption for customers with disabilities or charities, you might want to use the WooCommerce Disability VAT Exemption plugin. This plugin allows you to define which products are exempt from VAT on a per product basis, and automatically applies the zero rate for VAT at checkout for eligible customers.

To enable the disability VAT exemption for a product, you need to edit the product and select “Disability VAT exemption” in the Product Data box under the General tab. You can also use this option for variable products and variations. The prices of the products will be displayed without tax if an eligible user is logged in.

On the checkout page, the customer will see a form where they can enter their disability reason or charity name and registration number. Depending on the settings, they may also need to enter their name, address, disability or chronic sickness details, charity VAT address, charity VAT number, signature, and date. The plugin will store this information in the order’s custom fields and also show it in the order emails.

The WooCommerce Disability VAT Exemption plugin is compatible with WooCommerce 3.0 or higher and WordPress 4.4 or higher.
